As part of the collaboration, the Moscow 24 TV channel will show 40 hours of documentary content: educational films about the achievements of Russian and world science from the projects The Great Leap Forward, What Will Happen If… and Scientific Sensations.
The Scientific Sensations project tells about sensational scientific discoveries and achievements of our time that change people’s understanding of the world, and in the long term — the life of humanity. The peculiarity of the cycle is the relevance of the achievements that will be discussed. Some of them have been awarded the most prestigious scientific prizes in recent years, others are unthinkable without advanced technical developments, and others are at the stage of individual experimental samples, undergoing clinical and laboratory tests, and undergoing primary testing in real conditions.
“The Big Leap” is a popular science educational series about the achievements of Russian and world science, the purpose of which is to tell in an interesting and accessible form about things and phenomena that surround and influence a person in everyday life. The heroes of the films are scientists, engineers, inventors. This is a program about how the technologies that surround us work.
The program cycle “What Will Happen If…” offers a look into the future of science with interest and optimism. Host Alexey Vershinin will try to fantasize a little and show viewers a possible future using the results of advanced scientific research, bold theoretical calculations and sensational hypotheses.
Watch the projects of the Nauka channel on the Moscow 24 TV channel from May 31, on weekends, at 12:30, 16:30 and 22:30!
