Washington forward Strome talks Thompson’s importance in NHL playoffs

Washington Capitals forward Dylan Strome spoke about goalie Logan Thompson’s role in the Stanley Cup playoffs after the team’s 4-1 series win over the Montreal Canadiens in the first round of the National Hockey League ( NHL ) playoffs.
“He’s a rock. He’s kind of done what he’s done all year. We feel really confident when he’s in net. You saw the goal tonight. It was one of those lucky bounces that led to the goal. I thought Thompson was great the whole series. He kept us in the game, made big saves when we needed them,” Strome said in The Hockey News.
Let us recall that the capital team reached the quarterfinals of the Stanley Cup, where they will meet the Carolina Hurricanes.
